Coming to see LEXICON ion Newcastle? Here's what you need to know.

By Luc

We're thrilled to be kicking off the UK Tour with the first previews of LEXICON in the home of circus and Philip Astley, Newcastle-under-Lyme - tomorrow, Wednesday 28 March.

With the performances nearing, we thought we'd round up and answer any questions you may have about the performances in Newcastle.

WHO CAN I CONTACT ON THE NIGHT?
Tim Adam, Front of House Manager
tim@nofitstate.org | 01782 717962

WHERE DOES THE SHOW TAKE PLACE?
LEXICON takes place in the NoFit State Big Top at the Circus Village site. This is situated off Ryecroft, between Liverpool Road and Corporation Street (the site of the old Sainsbury's). A nearby postcode is ST5 2AF. The entrance is off Corporation Street.

WHERE DO I COLLECT TICKETS?
Tickets can be collected from the box office tent 1 hour before show time at the NoFit State Circus Village at Ryecroft, Newcastle-under-Lyme. Doors to the show tent open 30 mins before show time.

HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?
The performance runs for 2 hours which includes a 20-minute interval. The doors open 30 minutes before the show starts and the audience are welcome to visit the friendly bar, find a seat and meet members of the company before the performance starts.

WHERE DO I SIT?
All seating is unreserved. The audience are welcome to stay after the show to meet the performers. The bar and a shop selling merchandise remain open during this time.

ARE THERE SEATS? WILL I HAVE TO STAND UP?
Unlike in previous shows like BIANCO, we now have a brand new seating structure full of beautiful, comfortable seating for all to enjoy. Audiences will not need to stand up or walk around once they have taken their seats.
The new unreserved seating structure (meaning you can't pick your seats before hand) is designed so that everyone has the same extraordinary experience as anyone else in the tent, at the same price.

IS IT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
There is nothing within the content of LEXICON which makes it unsuitable for children and even very young children enjoy and appreciate the production - but LEXICON has not been created specifically for children.

DO CHILDREN GO FREE?
Children under the age of 3 go free, and will share one seat with an accompanying adult. A ticket must be bought for children above the age of 3. You can do this by purchasing an 'under 16s' (concession) ticket.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS DURING THE SHOW?
Photography is not allowed during the show, and flash photography in particular is strictly prohibited. If you are a photographer, please contact luc@nofitstate.org to enquire about photographing LEXICON.

ARE THERE ANY STROBES & SPECIAL EFFECTS?
There are no strobes used during the show but there are flashing lights. Fog/smoke machines are also used.
