Serious Circus Symposium

This two-day event is for those who are interested in how to integrate activism into live performance, and includes a talk from NoFit State cofounder, Ali Williams.
Day one will include discussions on the practices, approaches, opportunities and challenges, and the sharing of experiences from across the sector, bringing together artists, performers, directors, producers, funders to develop sustainability through ongoing support from within the community.
Day two will be limited to 12 places, with a one day workshop for physical performers, looking at devising from research and with activism as the aim. The workshop will be energetic, skills based, using improvisation, exercises, discussion and text to stimulate and empower radical thinking in Circus and other forms of physical performance.
