Once upon a time there was a 17 year old dancer in Cork, Ireland. Her name was Kate and one day she stumbled upon a spaceship-looking tent while walking around the city. Inside she found a show called Immortal and fell in love with NoFit State and with circus. She immediately applied to Circomedia in Bristol, then spent the next two years training, specialising in doubles trapeze and aerial hoop. Kate then went on to Berlin and trained in aerial rope with Camilla Therese Karlsen. She also completed a course in contemporary dance at the Tanzfabrik.
In 2010, Kate was taken on as an apprentice with NoFit State. In this time Kate undertook teacher training and discovered a love for Cloudswing. Kate has performed with NoFit State at the Eden Project and in the outdoor community show Parklife, and regularly performs at many festivals including Glastonbury, Sunrise festival, Secret Garden Party and Boomtown Fair. In July 2012 Kate was one of the performers in One Extraordinary Day with the American company STREB.
Kate has taught aerial rope, aerial hoop, trapeze, and the NoFit State youth circus.
