Gŵyl Parc Fest - Bamboo and Square Mile Summer Programme

The festival and summer programme created by and for the people of Splott, Tremorfa and Adamsdown, Cardiff, to celebrate local arts & culture. For the festival, we will again take over Anderson Fields for another extraordinary day of free performances, installations, making sessions, and community celebration. In the lead up to the festival, there will be a free-to-access participatory programme of creative activities over the summer holidays for local people and families to get involved with. This year’s theme explores what we can do with UK grown Bamboo.

Gŵyl Parc Fest - Bamboo

The event is on the 31st of August 2024 at Anderson Fields. Volunteers will be a vital part of the event, helping the day run smoothly and ensuring everyone who attends Parc Fest Bamboo leaves with a smile on their face and some amazing memories to take away with them. You could be involved with setting up the site, signposting event attenders, supporting performers and artists, assisting with workshops and other bits and pieces throughout the day.

Square Mile Summer Programme

The Summer Programme runs June-August and will include a variety of creative workshops.

Community Space

In response to the cost-of-living crisis many people in our local area will be facing tough financial decisions. We don’t think this is right and so, supported by grants from the National Lottery Community Fund, National Grid and C3SC, we have opened a community space. This began as a warm space hub and is now a vibrant community space supporting local families and people with a free lunch, circus workshops and other creative activities.

We’re looking for some fabulous volunteers to help us deliver this. As a volunteer you will welcoming and supporting participants to take part in craft, circus, or wellbeing activities, as well as other logistics such as helping prepare food and drinks.

Touring with NoFit State Show SABOTAGE

Run away with the circus! We are looking for people interested in the circus touring lifestyle to come and live and work with us for 2-6 weeks during our UK tour of SABOTAGE. We’ll be visiting Haverfordwest in June, Eastleigh in July and Brighton in August.

Joining us as a volunteer means living and working alongside the company, cast and crew, helping run our café/bar in the evenings, and taking part in tailored opportunities to develop your creative and/or production skills. We’ll also provide you with space to pitch a tent/park a live-in vehicle, one meal per day and plenty of free time to explore the amazing cities we’re visiting this year!

If this sounds exciting to you and you’d like to find out more, please fill in the expression of interest form and a member of the team will be in touch soon! We can’t wait to welcome you.
