Transitions is a circus sector development programme, run by NoFit State Circus and funded by the Arts Council of Wales. Designed to provide circus artists and professionals with vital support as they transition between key stages in their careers, the programme has offered a wide range of specialised training, financial investment and professional advice to professionals based all over Wales.
Building on the first year of the project, the renewed programme will deliver:
Teacher Training - Offering training to support circus teachers to engage confidently with a wider section of society
Professional Skills Development - Offering professional development introductory sessions and masterclasses aimed at emergent and established circus practitioners
Young Artists Support - Aimed at youth circus graduates and young artists (16-25) living, studying or working in Wales, who wish to pursue a professional career in circus
Targeted Micro Fund - Offering financial support to circus professionals who are:
-At the start of their careers
-Black and non Black circus professionals of colour
-Circus professionals with a Disability and or who are Neurodiverse
-Circus professionals facing financial challenges
